Yes don’t use claim company’s. I suspect in a couple years time you’ll be able to claim back from the claim companys for scamming.

I know I have used some of the companies that are implicated, for example I had catalogues back in the 80s, but I don’t think these companies exist any more. I had an egg card, no idea if I had PPI. We may have had it on our first mortgage as no one wanted to lend to us when we started out and it was probably a condition. I have changed banks a couple of times over the years. Clueless how to proceed really without an intermediary. My in-laws though have clawed back thousands, goodness knows how many loans they must have had, but my father in law is a great horder of paperwork, so he had everything going back decades, that’s not really normal.

I hate foundation etc so don’t wear it. Have not had a spot for years. Just use water and once a week a tea tree facescrub from body shop and a moisturiser with factor 30 in it. You need at least a factor 30 for it to do any good.

Put an advert in the local shop window. Talk to any applicants about what they think they can do in a certain time frame and how much they might charge.

@dave True. However Jennings is still brewed in Cockermouth using the same water, equipment, ingredients and staff. (Although it was brewed elsewhere post flooding until the brewery and borehole were decontaminated). Not sure about the others. So although it is a megacorp it’s not all churned out in the same chemical plant and labelled differently at the other end, (unlike supermarket branded foods).

I know a girl who fights every day. She has PTSD and anorexia, often very depressed and I admire her courage in fighting every day. She too has looked for help for the basic causes and found nothing, as you say, plenty of chemicals but no real help. Her mother is quite wealthy and would pay for treatment if only they could find the right course to take. It’s tragic to watch her struggling ALL the time and her life is passing her by totally dominated by her issues. These people deserve so much more. She has taken herself to A&E on more than one occasion and they treat her like dirt, leaving her worse than when she went in. She has said to me that she wants to eat but sometimes she physically can’t get past the mental block… she knows she is thin (to say the least) and it’s not about a fear of putting on weight… it’s all tied up with the PTSD.

I feel very sad for these people and wish so much I could help. I can’t begin to imagine the mental torment that goes on in their mind every day.

I’ve stayed here and would thoroughly recommend. http://www.liarn-farm.co.uk/

It’s not far from Blair Castle either and there’s a train station not far away which goes to Mallaig where you can get on a ferry to Skye. The cottages are spacious and clean with the living area upstairs which has a balcony. Loch Rannoch is just at the end of the drive which is the view we had from our balcony. The owner has horses too. I also notice it’s 20% off for couples.

      I did 3 bags.

      Bag 1 – for baby
3 x newborn size white short sleeve vests
3 x 0-3 month size white short sleeve vests
3 x newborn size white long sleeve all in ones
3 x 0-3 month size white long sleeve all in ones
(I didn’t do scratch mitts – if you want them, get the all in ones wit the folding over hand mitts)
      10 x newborn nappies
2 x pack of water wipes
      1 x teddy
      1 x blanket
      1 x newborn hat
      1 x cardigan

      Bag 2 – for me
      Lansinoh nipple cream
Tena all in one MASSIVE pants (these were brilliant – no faffing with pants and pads – they are all in one. Wear them, chuck them.
2 x nighties that had button down fronts (for BFing)
      Flip flops
      Hand fan
      Ipad and charger
      Phone and charger
Money bag with lots of change (and another one in the car for the car park)
      1 x lightweight dressing gown
      Snacks
Bottle of water with sports cap
Joggers / vest tops / sleep bra / nursing bra / jumper
Toiletry bag (toothbrush, paste, shower stuff, sponge etc etc)
      Lipbalm
      Hairbobbles & brush
      Paracetamol and ibuprofen
Bath towel (because hospital ones are tiny)

Bag 3 – bigger bag at home
In case of being kept in (and I was) then leave this in the boot of the car for OH to bring in
Extra sleep suits and vests for baby
      Extra nappies and water wipes
      Bepanthem bum cream
More clothes for me, joggers, t shirts, socks etc
      Crocs
      Towel
      More food

Wise to get your OH to pack a backpack with a change of clothes, snacks, toothbrush etc in for him.

Easy enough to avoid by not turning up by car

      @muhammad
True, true. Next time I have some problem that won’t fix itself I could just stay home until they have to take me in an ambulance. Win-win.

      Erm…

Thanks for all your replies guys. But no one told me it was infectious, I now have it in the other foot ! No clue why, never had it before, no different footwear, no different exercise etc.
